Amazon - Centro Logistico Gallicano
The activity carried out mainly involved the verification of Architectural and Urban Planning compatibility for the integration of a new logistics centre, classified as an Amazon Sortation Center, within the municipality of Gallicano nel Lazio, in the province of Rome, particularly in the area known as Grotta del Diavolo.
This task primarily focused on assessing the Architectural and Urban Planning compatibility of introducing a new logistics centre, belonging to the Amazon Sortation Center, into the community of Gallicano nel Lazio, near Rome, especially in the region named Grotta del Diavolo.
Initially, all documents relating to the urban planning, cadastral, and hydrogeological framework were analyzed, with particular emphasis on the PIP (Piano di Insediamenti Produttivi - Plan for Productive Settlements) affecting the identified PRG (Piano Regolatore Generale - General Regulatory Plan) area. A series of analytical documents were produced by overlaying the indicated project in the template onto local cartographies. Subsequently, the following were evaluated: the positioning within the project lot of the received logistics centre template, including the logistics building and external arrangements; assessment of vehicular traffic flows entering and exiting the area; and the connections with the planned construction of the new Gallicano nel Lazio highway toll booth on the A1 Motorway.
